A day full of voices, results and future prospects

On Monday, 26 May 2025, the final conference of the two-year research project All Inclusive: Let’s overcame in safety, funded by the Italian Autism Foundation (FIA), was held at the Logge del Grano in Arezzo. It was a lively and intense day, featuring institutional presentations, scientific reports and numerous testimonials. The event was an important opportunity to discuss issues related to the inclusion of students with disabilities in schools and the workplace, with a particular focus on promoting independence and career guidance.

During the morning, which was dedicated to the results of the project, academics, researchers, school administrators and representatives of the local education offices of Tuscany, Siena, Arezzo and Grosseto took part. Guests included Davide Faraone, president of the FIA, and Prof. Lucio Cottini, an expert in special education. Over a hundred students directly involved in the project activities took part in the event, and among them, a group of students from the Piccolomini Music High School in Siena performed an engaging musical performance at the end of the session.

In the afternoon, the future challenges for transformative research on inclusion were discussed, with contributions from professionals from the worlds of healthcare, social services and the third sector. The contribution of Matteo Betti, Paralympic athlete and disability case manager, enriched the discussion. This session also ended with an interactive theatrical performance by students from the Liceo Artistico di Arezzo.
